‘Sinophobia on the rise in Lesotho’: My interview for ‘The China in Africa Podcast’

Check out my recent interview with Eric Olander and Cobus van Staden from the China Africa Project. We discuss my research on Chinese migration to Lesotho, as well as the problems facing the low-end garment manufacturing sector in neighbouring South Africa. We end with a discussion of the case of Bobby, a mixed race Chinese and Black African boy abandoned by his parents in Zhejiang and the questions this raises about changing conceptions of African and Chinese ethnicity.
